Module 5 - Capturing and Annotating Web Pages
There may be times when you want to capture an entire Web page, not just text or images from a page. PowerResearcher makes this very simple. This is a very handy feature when you are performing research. You can capture as many Web pages as you want, so that you can store them for later use and even view them offline. You can also use PowerResearcher's Annotation Features to highlight, draw rectangles, or place callout boxes on a Web page to make the specific text or image you need easier to find.

The Capture tool is used to capture an entire Web page.

To capture a page just:

  1. Place the page you want to capture in the Browser Pane.
  2. If in Browse Mode, click the           button.
  3. If in Browse-and-Edit or Edit-and-Browse Modes, click-and-drag the           icon down into the Project Pane.

That's it!

To highlight or annotate a page before capturing, just click on the Highlighter          , and then, using your left mouse button, select the text you want to highlight. When you release the mouse button, the text will be highlighted. The default color is yellow, but you can change the color by using the color palette located on the Tool bar. You can also add a callout box (in which you can type notes) or a colored rectangle. When you then capture the page, the highlight or annotation will be captured with the page.

As you can see, capturing and annotating web pages is easy. Module 6 is about working with source information.
