Module 4 - Capturing Text and Images
One of the most powerful features of PowerResearcher is its ability to capture assets such as entire web pages, images, and text directly from the Internet. In this module, you will learn how to do this, so let’s jump right in!

Let’s start with something simple – cutting-and-pasting text from a Web page--what we call 'webpaste'. When you ‘webpaste’ text from an online Web page, you basically are copying and pasting the text from the Web page into a word processing document in your Content Pane.

This is as simple as:

  1. Clicking in your word processing document at the location where you want the text and/or image to appear.
  2. Click-and-drag over the text and/or image in the Browser Pane to select. Once selected, right-click and choose 'Paste Into Page' from the menu. That's it!
  3. The text and/or image will appear in your document.

PowerResearcher does more than just copy-and-paste. Webpasted text will have a Source line (see the example below) consisting of the page title and URL and the text will be in quotes and an alternate text color. This is done to remind you that this content was obtained from another source which helps prevent accidental plagiarism.

That’s all there is to capturing text and/or images from a web page. You can now move on to Module 5.

Keep in mind that webpasted images can be ‘resized’ or scaled up or down in your word processing document. Just click on the image pasted, and then grab one of the sizing handles to expand or shrink the image (see the figure on the right).
