Capturing information from the Web is one of PowerResearcher’s
most useful functions.
If
you are a more serious researchers, PowerResearcher 3.5, the shopping
cart for the Internet, the “Swiss Army Knife” of research
tools, will enable you to capture whole web pages or just parts,
such as a line of text, or a single image, to the Word document
you had already opened in PowerResearcher, by dragging the Word
Icon in the top left hand pane, into the Project Tree, where you
Organize your work.
PowerResearcher 3.5 allows you to just write, using the Write Tab,
or just Browse using the Research Tab, or have the split-screen
for Browsing and Writing in the Organize Tab. PowerResearcher 3.5
also contains the Research Log and Bibliography Wizard to prevent
inadvertent plagiarism, without the Educate, Visualize and Planner
functionality, found in EDU, which is more oriented
to Education. Researcher in the non-educational Legal, Medical,
Scientific and Financial sectors will find the leaner version of
PowerResearcher 3.5 more efficient and useful than EDU. |

Capturing
information from the Web is one of PowerResearcher’s most
useful functions. PowerResearcher EDU, the “Shopping cart”
for the Internet, the “Swiss Army Knife” of Research
Process Automation tools, enables you to capture whole web pages
or just parts, such as a line of text, or a single image, or graphics
to the Word document you had already opened in PowerResearcher by
dragging the Word Icon in the top left hand pane, into the Project
Tree, where you Organize your work. PowerResearcher EDU enables
the instructor to design the project outline using the Educate Tab
and Plan the work in the Planner Tab. The student uses the Visualize
Tab to graphically imagine the project, which will populate the
Project Tree visible in the Organize Tab. It then allows the student
to write, using the Write Tab, and Browse using the Research Tab,
or have the split-screen for Browsing and Writing in the Organize
Tab. PowerResearcher EDU also contains the Research Log and Bibliography
Wizard to prevent inadvertent plagiarism.
Instructors love EDU’s features that enhance the digital interaction
with students, allowing monitoring of the Research Log, to monitor
student progress and productivity time.
